Magothy Consulting Group was founded in 2010 to provide drug substance and drug product development and commercialization services to all types of clients, including small and virtual to large multinational companies. Magothy employs experienced consultants to deliver top quality results to their clients.  On average, Magothy consultants have over 20 years of industry experience, and all have been involved with successful registration, approval, and launch in the US, EU, and other global markets.

Jason M. Vaughn, Ph.D. Dr. Jason M. Vaughn has 18 years of pharmaceutical development experience in small and large companies and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs). Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Technical Operations at Avadel Pharmaceuticals (AVDL) where he led all CMC activities, drug product development and manufacturing.  Early in his career, Jason spent several years at PharmaForm LLC in various positions including Associate Director of Analytical and Formulation Development, Director of Operations and eventually Vice President of Operations. In these positions, he focused on the development of novel abuse deterrent formulations for internal and external clients. He then joined DPT Laboratories as Director of Formulation Development where he led a team that developed formulations for liquids and semisolids. Following this, he joined Enavail LLC as Director of Research. In 2012, Jason joined Patheon as Director of Scientific Affairs in the Cincinnati facility leading the development of formulations focused on modified release oral dosage forms. Jason transferred to Banner Life Sciences as Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development where he focused on novel formulations for the treatment of clinical unmet needs. Finally, Jason transferred back to Patheon as Vice President, Process and Technology Development before starting Wyatt Pharma Consulting.  He is currently Senior Vice President, Technical Operations at Avadel Pharmaceuticals (AVDL) where he leads all CMC activities, drug product development and manufacturing.  Jason received both his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and Doctoral degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of Texas at Austin .

Donald J. Treacy, Ph.D.

Founder of Magothy Consulting Group, Don has 30 years in the industry and has held high level management positions for 20 years.  His experience has been primarily in small and mid-size companies, and covers a wide variety of disciplines, including Analytical Development, Biopharmaceutics, Product Development, and CMC Regulatory.  Don is a named inventor on over 30 issued US and worldwide patents, and has testified as an expert witness in patent litigation cases.  He played a significant role in development and approval of marketed products, including Adderall XR, Moxatag, Zurampic, and the fixed dose combination Duzallo.
